It's a shame this product is horrible because the color is perfect

I purchased this to cover an IKEA desk to get the look I want for my office. It is very thick which is great to cover the tables imperfections and has a really nice velvety feel. The problem is the adhesive is too strong and does not allow for repositioning. It ripped the laminate off the top of my IKEA table trying to reposition it. It also felt like it was old, as I tried to crease the edges it would either create a ripple effect or crack completely.

I live in an apartment where I cannot paint. I wanted to do the whole wall blue but when the curtains are closed it’s so dark I decided just to do one white stripe down the middle of the wall behind the TV. I love the way it turned out I was able to use the access to cover the cords from the TV
