I've used these to hide my outlet cords when backlit and they worked great! The fixtures that came with the under-table lamps consisted of strips of rubber held in place by two tiny screws. I tried putting one in and declined, then I googled "wiring masking accessories" and this product came up. I bought 3 sets and wasn't sure but I'm so happy. It took a little while and I've used almost all of them but imagine if I used the hardware that came with the fixings it would take forever and make a bunch of small holes in the cabinets and shelves. Pooh. They seem to be holding up well so far, but if you place one in the wrong place it will come loose really easily when you pull the tab. But then it's ruined, so deciding to place first is key. And make sure the surface is very clean. Now that I know how to use them and how well they work, I have more options for lighting my bedroom and office. These clips do not damage the surface and are great. However, I didn't use them for anything heavy.
