The overall seat height of the chair is approximately 38 cm from the floor. Dining chairs are not. However, these are the perfect chairs for my kids. They fit perfectly into their rooms and that's the way it should be. Anyone looking for them for the dining room, as indicated on the box and in the description, will be disappointed. The chairs themselves are very easy to assemble, with just four screws and washers securing the backrest. The bottom half is already fixed. Both come in the same box and are very sturdy. Overall these are great chairs if you look closely at the size, however I have to give a few stars due to the misleading labeling.
