Gritty? Yes! is it a powder Yes! Knowing this, you would expect it to be similar to a baking soda brush, except for the powder, which is finer here and a little less salty in taste. This product does not have a strong taste in my opinion, it is very neutral. When brushing you will notice a dark shade of gray coming from the charcoal. After rinsing, the whole mouth appears clean! All coffee, wine and stubborn molar stains removed in less than 2 weeks!
