I didn't want to spend extra money on a boot mat so I decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, it turned out pretty well. As you can see in the picture it fits and matches the trunk cutouts. I want the corners where I hooked the network anchors to be a bit lower. The surface does not slip and looks like a local after smoothing. The rug came folded in a box, I wondered how to straighten it. Don't bother with a hair dryer, heat gun, etc. Do what I did. Just find a flat surface like your patio and let it sit in the sun for half an hour or more, it will level out nicely. You can also put something heavy on the mat in high places.
