I liked that this set comes in both silver and gold. They're quite large (about the size of a quarter) so I figured they'd hold up for sure. The first time I used them, I was wearing a large scarf, the thickness of a pair of flannel pajama bottoms, twice the size I "held" it together. It fell off several times and I had to search for it on one side until I couldn't find it the third time. It held if I was absolutely still, but normal movement (moving around in the chair) would dislodge the magnet. In the end I settled on one and can only use the fastener on very light, almost see-through material.
