Excellent headset. We've just used them for the first time and we really like them. They made mooring our boat much easier and safer. No more screaming to be heard. It appears as if the person speaking to you is standing right next to you. We're not sure about battery life, but plan on removing and charging the batteries after each use. I'll let you know later if there are issues with the short battery life. Follow up: We've had the headsets for a year now and they still work like new. We told our friends about it and they bought the set too. We haven't had any negative issues with the headsets and the battery life is still good. It was one of the most important purchases we made for a boat.
