I really liked this case. This leaves the stand free which is what I wanted. It offers good edge protection, which is nice, and I liked the little piece of rubber that keeps the keyboard closed (if you're using one). Also, it has a somewhat utilitarian look, which I liked. Everything was fine until I grabbed my Surface with this case and reached down. The piece of plastic that goes around the bottom half of the surface, leaving a gap to allow the stand to swing freely, feels very flimsy and flexes a lot when you touch or hold it, which was a big issue I had feeling like I lose my grip every time I pick up a Surface. I thought maybe I was overreacting so I decided to give it some time to see if I got used to it. Well it's been 5 days and it still bothers me as much as it did when I started this new case. I think manufacturers should put some metal on the bottom to hold the plastic in place, or use a stronger type of plastic that doesn't bend as easily. Also, when you have a pen in a holder, it's a bit tricky to get the stand out because there's the gap that allows you to do that. It's not a big deal, I'd live with that, but it's a bit annoying when you open the stall multiple times a day like I do. I like the case just as much as the one I had with the Surface Pro 2. The hunt continues.
