PROS: (1) Tough, strong and powerful. Finally there's a blender that doesn't leave lumps in the mix, doesn't overheat, and does everything from smoothies to crushing ice and making chickpea flour. (2) Simplified operation. The numerous knobs and functions in this mixer really are the backbone of most mixing needs. It's nice to see there's no useless jumble of buttons that don't really do anything other than give the impression that they're better. (3) Easy to clean. CONS: (1) An ugly flaw that even the manual admits is that an oil/grease spill from the bottom of the unit creates an oily residue that accumulates within minutes of use. It seems to be an issue under the glass where nothing touches the food. But TERRIBLE if that means some of it also ends up in the drinks you make. Not acceptable in this price range. Support offers a replacement but it is out of stock. I'm not sure if this is part of a defective batch and has since been fixed, or if it's an internal issue with the device. (2) This ridiculous shell that is supposed to be a shield doesn't change the operational noise. It's so noisy like it's not in use.
