I used this unit to connect the red/yellow/white component inputs of an old JVC TV to the HDMI to connect the output of an old ROKU 2 so we can stream live video of our worship service to that old TV. It worked flawlessly and was easy to connect. Picture quality and sound signals were ok. Don't forget that you need a USB power source for this (i.e. a typical 110 volt transformer block used to charge phones etc.). The length of the cord on the unit isn't very long - they fit me, but you can measure your situation to make sure they're the length you want. On the positive side, short cables keep the "cable clutter" clean.
