Ok, full disclosure although I'm a bit on top of most technical issues. I've had a few point and shoot cameras the whole time. IMO, it was terrible in almost every way. I was intrigued by the WIFI option but spent hours on the phone with Canon Tech just trying to connect it to my small home network. Watch. I can easily link videos/photos to Facebook and You Tube - although VERY SLOW - they CANNOT be uploaded to Instagram from the camera via WiFi. You know Insta, the basic image/video site. Other basic functions are extremely anti-intuitive. The simple action of finding the shutter to take a picture confused 75% of random servers and other people I asked to take pictures of myself and others. The picture shutter is NOT a button, it's not even a little 'raised round thing' but more like a smooth round thing in front of the 'raised round thing'. Many, many photoshoots are lost forever because, despite my hasty explanations, even newbies who point the finger at the "Smooth Round Shutter Thing" often don't get it. For the flash, my settings require the "trigger" button to be held down for an extra second. Therefore, others taking photos usually expect to just press and release, but NOT hold "Smooth Round Thing" until the flash appears. Many photos of different floors and ceilings. Finally, I had a problem with the battery charging recently - it seemed to drain very quickly after I (re)charged it. Canon Customer Service will do NOTHING to diagnose the problem unless the camera is sent to a remote Canon Service Center. There are no local authorized service centers or Canon dealers. Oh, and of course the buyer must package the item appropriately and pay for postage, unaware of the problem, repair (if any) and the costs involved. I am generally satisfied with Canon products. but I just bought a new all in one/multifunction printer, fax etc to replace my canon all in one. Given this horrible product and the worst customer service I certainly did NOT buy a new Canon. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA.
