A fun little camera with a few quirks.

I doubt this was my first touchscreen camera - I have an older, inexpensive Sony touchscreen camera. I found I LOVE the touch screen on the N! it doesn't scare him because he's so small. I also wanted the wide end of the zoom and the f3 aperture. In any case, if I use WiFi to transfer files, getting/removing the micro SDHC card is very difficult. I still need my iPad to talk to my N. Canon's new software app should be used with the N. The zoom lens and shutter button are good in daylight butโ€ฆ

Terrible on all levels

Ok, full disclosure although I'm a bit on top of most technical issues. I've had a few point and shoot cameras the whole time. IMO, it was terrible in almost every way. I was intrigued by the WIFI option but spent hours on the phone with Canon Tech just trying to connect it to my small home network. Watch. I can easily link videos/photos to Facebook and You Tube - although VERY SLOW - they CANNOT be uploaded to Instagram from the camera via WiFi. You know Insta, the basic image/video siteโ€ฆ

Great innovation! Best in Point and Shoot Digital Camera Category

I love everything about this camera. Perfect size for take-home photos. The tilt indicator is essential for capturing photos from creative angles. My #1 tip for interesting photos is to change the angle - don't just hold the camera to your face and shoot. For example, try holding your camera at or below your waist and tilting it up. I think you will find it more interesting than normal recordings. That's why I'm so excited about this little gem - the tilting display alone makes it so muchโ€ฆ

Functionally unique

While looking for a small pocket camera for camping trips I came across this unique little camera. I've been using my high-end cell phone camera while hiking for a while now and I'm just tired of it. I think these phones are not the best option for using cameras. I should add that I am a true Canon owner with the T3i and PowerShot G9. I did NOT purchase a Powershot N to replace any of them. I bought it because of fit-form function. If I'm doing a photo walk, I'll definitely use the t3i. The Nโ€ฆ

It's a very different camera

I bought this camera because I thought the zoom controls around the lens were similar to the SLRs I've used in the past. As it turned out, this is not so. Think of it as a larger version of their zoom and shutter button. The zoom ring only moves a very short distance, then returns to its original position as soon as you release it and continues to zoom as long as you rotate it. The ring behind activates the bolt. But you can also release the shutter by touching the viewfinder screen on theโ€ฆ
