Review on Eviciv Portable Monitor: Touch Screen, Built-In Speakers, 7-Inch Display (1024X600), MDS-702 by Lucas Halpern

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Raspberry Pi 4 display

I'm tired of connecting my Raspberry Pi to the same monitor as my desktop. I also wanted something small and portable. How fun would it be to use on the go!? Well, after browsing Revain for a while and reading reviews, I settled on this monitor. This is a great addition! The instructions are simple and easy to follow. Installation took about 5 minutes after I got all the parts laid out to work. Now my Raspberry Pi is reassembled and all I need is a power supply to get it working. The monitor is crystal clear and the brightness is excellent. The small monitor has controls that allow you to easily adjust the built-in speakers, brightness, and other features. I have a RetroPi setup so everything works great. No additional code or special download instructions need to be written. It was ready to use immediately. To make it more portable, I use a power bank with a PD USB-C output. I originally tried an older battery with a 2.4A USB port. Raspberry Pi warned me about low power consumption. However, I think it may have automatically adjusted the CPU clock speed to compensate since I played it for an hour without crashing. The only thing that would be nice would be a case covering the entire setup. It's a small problem for me though, but only something nice. Maybe a third party can do it? If you're looking for an external monitor for your Raspberry Pi, get this one. If you can get it on a lightning deal or something, even better!
