I was 51 years old when I started shaving with the DE razor; This Lord Sampler is my latest foray into the world of the double-edged razor blade. These Lord made blades are pretty good, although I'm pretty sure there aren't 9 different blades, but three (platinum, stainless steel and chrome) in nine different packages. It doesn't matter. You will be satisfied. I don't have a favorite brand of blade - the transition I made to the DE shaving method was so FUN - I mean it - and interesting that I'll be living my second 50 years of my life. Live, god forbid, stock up on probes of all kinds of blades and only shave DE. How my chin and cheeks feel after a DE shave is something to watch out for. I've never had a better shave than with a DE blade.
