The house I rent does not have screens or ways to put screens on the windows so I can open the windows to let the air circulate without attracting wildlife. My mother suggested getting air purifiers for the main rooms. Because of my new puppy, I also needed an air purifier. While it doesn't smell bad, it brings with it all sorts of outside smells that linger in the living/dining/kitchen area. This air purifier (my first ever) was a godsend. Now the air is clean and transparent. No more foreign or dog smells! The setting is fully comprehensive. The filter is already in the air purifier. You need to open the back, take it out, remove the plastic, and put it back in place to get started. Read the instructions carefully and you'll be on your way to cleaner air in no time. This is my living room, dining room and kitchen (my apartment is small) but it will be up to 250 square meters. I basically left it on Auto, and it's intuitive enough to adapt to the space I've placed it in. needs. I've been cooking and the smell of my food (as inviting as it is) doesn't last too long. The noise level is mostly very low and I'm grateful for that. It's not so heavy that it can't be moved, but it's not small either. (See photos) In terms of features, the ring around the controls indicates air quality. I've seen it go from green to blue so far. Summer can be different, so we'll see. You can adjust the fan speed, but be aware that this increases the noise level. As I said, I leave it on Auto and it adjusts accordingly. The sleep mode is VERY quiet, so I can buy it for my bedroom. There is also a timer if you don't want it to run all day. It says the filter lasts 2000-3000 hours but we'll see. Don't be too concerned about the maintenance as the instructions are pretty basic. All in all it was a good buy for me!
