Let me start by saying that this cap works and I have nice highlights from it. However, you will have to drill the holes yourself where they are marked. The instructions say to use the tool that comes with the kit, but when I did it hit a big wound. So I used the tip of a pair of scissors on all of them and it worked fine. It took a while to make the holes, but this lid can also be used as many times as you want because it's made of silicone. I have a small head and even this fits me (I think it fits all head sizes). I suggest putting baby powder in before you put your head on so it doesn't hurt as much when you try to take it off. But like I said my highlights turned out great and I still have the lid to use again and again :) I would recommend it especially if you want to have it all the time. PS You may need another person as you can't see the back of the head (but it's not hard to feel and try for yourself).
