I have many GE products and they are great. I love their GE Reveal bulbs and thought I would love these bulbs too. Unfortunately I was wrong. I had to use them in a satellite chandelier that needs some bulbs and it just didn't work, I used 3 boxes of 2 each. Here's why: - I don't think it has 500 lumens per bulb, I suspect it gives you less than that. - 3 lights flash randomly after a while. I live in a new house and all my headlights are LED. The power that flows in my house is pretty "clean" because I have very sensitive electronics, so that wasn't the problem. After extensive testing, I found that 3/6 of the lamps were defective. Quality control is pretty poor compared to the GE Reveal line of lamps. Expect to use 1 watt or less per 100 lumens. This draws 5.5 watts at 500 lumens (if it really is 500 lumens). This might not matter if you're using one or two bulbs, but it does matter if you're using 5-10. The yellow light these bulbs produce is too yellowish for my liking. I wanted something relaxing, not a colored lamp. Well I can't say enough good things about these lamps. I sent them back and used Phillips again which has a very nice yellow tint and good power consumption. Sorry GE, it's just not very good for my taste.
