This is exactly what I was looking for! I recently bought a 2019 13" MacBook Pro and didn't want it ending up in my backpack. I'm a law student, so I was constantly putting my MacBook in and out of my backpack on the way to and from school, and I didn't want the metal spirals on my laptops to scratch the look of my mac. That's great! The black (p) leather seems to be holding up well (I've only had this case about 4 days) and the optics of the case don't scratch. My Macbook closes well enough to go into "sleep mode". That's cool! It has a bit of padding on the outside, but my MacBook sleeps and wakes up fine with this case. My distinguishing feature when purchasing the case was that it FULLY covering the space under the keyboard, next to the trackpad on both sides.. I didn't want the oil/sweat from my hands to stain it. I'm also a pushover and hate cold metal on my hands/wrists when I'm... use a trackpad or type on a keyboard. Additional Features: • The pen holder is a nice touch, but I use silicone grip pens, so it's not that effective for me. However, if you just want to carry a regular Jane pen with you, this is perfect for that. • The front folder is great for a small (read: thin) notepad. It also holds 8.5" x 11" paper! It's great when you just need a place to quickly put notes or something • The screen holder fits my MacBook SNUG. The problem I had with my old case was that these holders either pushed out part of the screen and let the case fold back, or they crossed the screen so I couldn't see either end of the menu bar at the top of the screen. Advertisement. These holders are things that are both convenient and out of the way (is that a word? We'll settle for that).
