I wanted them to light up a workbench in my garage where there isn't an outlet nearby. The plan was to attach them to the bottom of the closet with a strip of magnetic tape. Well the tape I bought was useless and didn't stick. Even if it were, the tiny magnets in the switch wouldn't hold it in place. The Velcro strips included in the switch also do not stick to wood. Using screws was not a viable solution. I have a roll of industrial velcro. I cut two narrow strips to attach to each switch just below the battery cover. My strips went from one end of the switch to the other under the battery covers. They fit perfectly and securely on the bottom of my closet. The brightness is perfect. I attached two switches to suit my needs. I will use the other two elsewhere. They don't get used often, so battery life should be more than adequate, and they're easy to replace when they run out. I am very happy with the end result.
