I have a long hair kitty and as he gets older, he gets a little matted. I'm not taking him in get a "haricut" LOL. I tried this comb and it workes great. Initially, he was a little apprehensive as it was pulling at the matts, but after a week, he's good and loves to be combed. I have a 8 month old Mainecoon and I started to notice him getting a few small mats under his arms and his back legs even though i comb him at least 3 times a week. I started using this comb and it worked great. Took the mats out quickly and so easy! Will definitely be using this comb whenever i find mats.

This just arrived today. My 15 year old senior calico has medium length fur. She is fluffy but not a long haired cat. I had been using a regular brush on her with little yield. When I used this comb I was amazed at the fur that it removed. She tends to get a few mats at her back legs near her tail so that is why I ordered this tool. I am pleased with my purchase.

The comb part of this tool is totally outstanding and works great to get the extra hair out of my cairn terrier, but the handle has been a lousy mess with the very sticky gel oozing out. I see now by the reviews that others have had this same problem with this tool.

I have a Bichon and anyone who knows them knows how much care their hair needs to prevent matting. I wanted so for this one to be the answer. While it’s okay, it’s still not easy to get through the thick double coat. Other reviews said that their pet wasn’t bothered by the brushing. Afterwards I noticed that they were cat owners. Cats have a finer coat, which probably is why it’s easier.I will keep the demating comb to use where I can but was disappointed.

I bought this as a last ditch effort to avoid taking my cat to a groomer for matted fur. I was able to get some out with different products, but there were a few left. Within 3 minutes of using this brush, all the matted fur was out. I didn’t get tons of other hair out using it as a brush, but for matted fur it works great!

I have an older cat with short hair but matted. I brushed her every day with another brush and none of the clumps would come out. This one is a miracle worker and she's looking better than ever.
