Review on Barnwood Wire-Brushed Drop Leaf Kitchen Cart With Wood And Stainless Steel Construction - One Size by Patrick Johnson

Aggravating best in my review

I purchased the DROP LEAF kitchen cart. There are some great things and some terrible things about this cart. First, if you are lucky enough to get one without problems, let me congratulate you!The box is heavy and once you figure out the best way to open it, your problems begin! The shelving, legs etc are packaged well enough, the problem is the top. The drop leaf top is fully assembled and you must be very careful removing this from the box, because there is nothing holding the drop leaf in place while you attempt to remove it. IT IS HEAVYOnce you get everything out of the box and the assembly begins, things were going pretty well until I got to one leg. Some idiot went crazy with the pre-drilled hole and made it too deep. NOTHING was working to get the leg attached to the shelves. I had to go and dig out different types of bolts and screws to figure out how to attach this leg. After several failed attempts the only thing that worked was a 4-inch-long deck screw! Yes, a 4-INCH-LONG screw. Both places, upper and bottom shelf!Once the rest was assembled and you add the cheaply made wheels, you can now flip it over. Now you have the daunting task of removing the sheathing that cover the top. WHAT A PAIN IN THE REAR! I think that took as long as the build! At any rate, you now get to see all the small dents that are in the top and sides. Was mine enough to send it back, no, but at certain angles and light you see it more defined. Can we say finger print – grrr! Guess I was expecting a little better quality stainless. Is it a nice looking unit, I suppose once you get pass all the negatives it is. However, I do not think I would ever purchase this particular item again. Last note: I have assembled way too many pieces of furniture and this was by far the most aggravating piece of them all.
