Some reviews seem to suggest people are using this connector the other way around. This goes from a USB-C power adapter to a cylindrical DC plug, not the other way around. To do this, you need a different type of adapter. I have a laptop with a Type-C port that I want to leave blank so I can charge it directly into the port on the case using a Type-C cable. I have a 100w power adapter for it and it works great, with HWInfo the laptop draws around 55-60w of power and on top of that it charges at around 30w. So if you use it correctly, it works great.
