this instrument is so much fun! It's actually harder to play "real songs" than you might think, but it's incredibly fun to try. "Otama-Tony" is always popular at our Tuesday toy band meetups. It's also fun when confusing your pets! I do it so that the volume can get louder on it. Even with a microphone, it's difficult to play many other instruments. It doesn't have an output jack so you can't connect it to an amp and I haven't found a good way to connect a pickup. I know there's a more expensive version with more range and audio outs, so it's on my wish list for the future!
