These work very well as insoles for any shoes that came with ones you can take out and replace. I got my first pair six months ago, and have since ordered two more pairs for different shoes. The first pair still has no visible wear, and I'm on my feet most of the day. The claimed product features "reduces foot pain" and "provides foot cushion" are real (I don't know about "stores and releases energy", but I wasn't expecting springs on my feet anyway). It appears the factory that this product comes from does not oil—specifically—the nuts and washers on the black oxide sets. All of the bolts themselves came coated in oil. Even without the oil, none of the nuts, washers, or bolts themselves were rusty on arrival.That "rusty" appearance coating the inside of the nut & washers bag is just loose dirt & oxide powder from the giant bin at the dirty mill/factory that makes its way into the bag along with the fasteners when they fill them. I have a gas detector that runs on power and uses a 9v for batter backup. Unfortunately, where we have the unit can be bumped and will fall off the wall once a blue moon. It won't announce it's on battery until the batter is low, and it doesn't take more than half a day to kill the battery. For the price paid, this harness is perfect. You can spend two to three times this price on other brands that essentially does the same thing. Only downside is the elastic strap on top of each pod needs better engineering as one wrong bump or brush up against something and the strap could slide down and pod could possibly slide up and out? I would need something warmer to sleep in this 30-degree rating, but it's great for 3-season camping in California. Very comfortable. Love the color. UPDATE: After using this for a camping trip, there are a few problems. It wasn't warm enough for 50-degree weather; I ended up using a Rumpl blanket on top to stay warm.
