Type of review

I have long hair, with a combination of sometimes oily scalp and semi-dry ends. After using this in conjunction with my normal conditioner after a week, my hair is oily by the third day, but I guess that's expected. If i wash every other day, I have much better results. So far I've noticed that my scalp does seem to itch less and there are much less white flakes near my scalp, in comparison (probably because my scalp used to be dry, or because there is a lot of buildup from other hair products).

Pros
  • Beauty & Personal Care
Cons
  • Can be more expensive than other shampoos on the market

I feel good about using it

This was my "I think I made a huge mistake" purchase after trying to go "no 'poo". I first tried "Silicone/Sulfate" free shampoos and figured why stop there? That's when I dove head first into the process of going without shampoo. Sounds gross, I know, but bear with me. I read for months (I'm a bit slow) on the process of transitioning to baking soda washes and apple cider vinegar rinses. I figured the worst that could happen was I ended up with waxy hair. Without…

Pros
  • This shampoo is sulfate-free, which means it won't leave your hair feeling dry or stripped of its natural oils
Cons
  • May not be as widely available as other shampoos

I bought this for my Aunt Deve who's scalp was so dry and itchy. She was always scaratching her head. At her age the oil glands are worn out and skin and scalp surf

Pros
  • An all-natural hair care solution for those with normal to oily hair, this Organic Soap Berry Shampoo offers an eco-friendly and sustainable approach
Cons
  • Could potentially cause scalp irritation for some users

Love this shampoo! on my review.

I had been trying various "no poo" methods for 10 months before trying this shampoo. We live in Germany and have VERY hard water so finding something that doesn't leave hard water residue in my hair has been very challenging. Baking soda and vinegar left my hair dry and waxy, honey didn't remove the oil, egg works great but you can only use it a couple times a month. Soap nuts worked but take some pre-planning and I wanted something fool proof for days when my hair has to look good. I have baby

Pros
  • It comes enriched with soap berries, which are known for their gentle cleansing and nourishing properties
Cons
  • Could cause hair to feel greasy or weighed down for those with very fine hair

Complete and Lovely Surprise

Prior to using this shampoo, I was experiencing hair loss at a dramatic rate. Whether due to stress, getting older, weather - whatever the reason, hair was coming out in the shower and combing out my long hair resulted in clumps. Having heard a lot about the side effects of SLS, I decided to start trying organic. The first week of use, I was a little iffy. My hair would come out of the shower in a tangle of knots that took quite a bit to undo. My hair felt very course straight out of the…

Pros
  • Its organic ingredients also make it a sustainable and environmentally friendly choice, which is great for those who are eco-conscious
Cons
  • The soapberry ingredient may not be sustainably harvested in all cases

Love my hair for the 1st time EVER!

I have super thin, baby-fine hair that needs a ton of products just to get it to look like "normal" hair. I've tried just about everything out there that promises to thicken and volumize but nothing has ever really ever worked leaving me with too many embarrassing "bad hair days" to count. I've always used expensive yet gentle shampoos so I never stopped taking care of my hair nor have I ever abused it. And back when it was in style, I would perm my hair to get volume, but I…

Pros
  • This shampoo is perfect for everyday use, and it's gentle enough to be used on color-treated hair, as well
Cons
  • Could potentially cause color-treated hair to fade or lose vibrancy

Wonderful natural shampoo

I absolutely love this shampoo. I actually gave up shampooing my hair 6 years ago, relying solely on cleansing conditioners. The cleansing conditioners completely eliminated the frizzies and left my hair beautifully manageable. However, they also weighed it down a little more than I would have liked, and I needed to "wash” my hair every 5 days (I know, I’m from a generation and culture taught that over shampooing harms long hair). I have "normal” hair, neither oily nor dry, and wanted to see if

Pros
  • Since it's an all-natural product, you can rest assured that there are no harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances in it that could harm your hair or scalp in the long run
Cons
  • May not provide enough volume or body for those with fine, limp hair

Hair salons are AMAZED at how healthy my hair is.

I am a 'natural' girl when it comes to products. I don't dye my hair or over style it or even blow dry it much. I have been using this amazing product for about a year now. I will never ever ever go back. This is AMAZING. Lets just say this: When I got my hair cut last, the hair salon stylist was AMAZED at how healthy and soft my hair was. She couldn't stop commenting on it and about five different people felt my hair that day (hahaha). My hair is not radiant or naturally beautiful, it is just…

Pros
  • Balances secretion by oil glands in the scalp while removing excess oil & dirt from hair. Relieves itchy scalp. Cleanses without stripping away natural nutrients. Removes build up from styling products. -- Proprietary Ayurvedic formula rinses clean leaving hair manageable with healthy body, texture, volume & shine.
Cons
  • Users may need to use more product than usual to get desired results

Incredible for taking care of my oily scalp!

Before switching to NaturOli I could wash my hair in the morning, and my scalp would be oily by lunchtime. This shampoo really does what it says as far as balancing the natural oil secretion in your scalp. I now have no problems just washing my hair every other day. There's no build-up and it even smells pretty good, which is not always the case with natural beauty products. I'm into my second bottle and it has continued to work amazingly for controlling my oily scalp. Now for the downside. I…

Pros
  • Hair Care
Cons
  • Results may vary depending on hair type and texture

I like using soap nuts to clean with and do laundry, so I decided to try this soapberry shampoo since I wanted to get away from all the shampoos and conditioners with harsh chemicals and toxins in them. It certainly cleaned well, almost too well because it left my long, fine hair in so many tangles while trying to rinse it in the shower. I could barely pull my fingers out because it was so tangled! I tried reapplying it to see if that would help; and it slightly did, but was still far too…

Pros
  • Finally, Organic Soap Berry Shampoo is a cruelty-free product, which means no animals were harmed during its production
Cons
  • May not be as marketed as a deep-cleaning shampoo for those with oily hair

Not as amazing as people are making it out to be.

Alright, well, I wanted to wait until I've used this product a few times before writing a review.A bit of a background, I've been using Avalon Organic shampoos for the last 6 months. But most of the time I felt like I was just pouring soap into my hair, and getting it to lather was next to impossible. It was also extremely difficult to brush my hair without conditioner, which I try not to use since my hair does tend to get oily pretty easily.I wanted something different that'll do more for my…

Pros

  • May not be as effective at removing hair buildup as traditional shampoos
