Review on Organic Soap Berry Shampoo For Normal To Oily Hair - 16Oz Sulfate-Free All-Natural Hair Care - Made With Gluten-Free Vegan Ingredients - Enriched With Soap Berries by Matt Wigfall

I like this soapberry shampoo, but it tangles my hair something fierce! lol.

I like using soap nuts to clean with and do laundry, so I decided to try this soapberry shampoo since I wanted to get away from all the shampoos and conditioners with harsh chemicals and toxins in them. It certainly cleaned well, almost too well because it left my long, fine hair in so many tangles while trying to rinse it in the shower. I could barely pull my fingers out because it was so tangled! I tried reapplying it to see if that would help; and it slightly did, but was still far too tangled, so I had to grab for the trusty back-up, Pantene Conditioner to help de-knot my hair. <gulp> I used it several more times, but I always have to have some good conditioner to apply afterwards.I got the bright idea to try this shampoo on the dogs (one of them having longer hair, about 2-3" long strands), and it worked even better on them! The one with the longer hair got little tangles in his hair, too, just like I did, but luckily his hair wasn't nearly as bad as mine because it wasn't nearly as long as mine. Anyway, if I can find a SUPER conditioner that is non-toxic, I may keep using this shampoo on a regular basis. :) I do like how clean it gets my hair, though, so I will probably continue buying it, but only for an every now and then shampoo. :)

Pros
  • Finally, Organic Soap Berry Shampoo is a cruelty-free product, which means no animals were harmed during its production
Cons
  • May not be as marketed as a deep-cleaning shampoo for those with oily hair
