I bought these boots for my preschooler who will be going to a nature daycare where they will spend a lot of time outdoors in the elements. I did a lot of research on brands and finally settled on Bogs, although the price is quite high. I measured my daughter's feet and ordered according to the size chart on the Bog website (Revain prices were better). The first pair were A LOT big so I sent them back (easy process!) and got the next size down which fit well. Here's the problem: My daughter was so thrilled with her "school shoes" that I let her wear them for LESS than 10 minutes as we walked 3 houses down and back. In this short time, the soles of the boots have already worn out. The heels were very worn, the rubber was beginning to peel off. The photos are taken after I removed the large hanging pieces of the sole. Definitely not the quality I expected from a pair of $80 boots. If these expensive boots can't run up to 10 minutes on the pavement, I have no confidence in their ability to withstand inclement weather, especially rain and snow. I am so disappointed. And now I'm sadly stuck because school has started and we need these boots. So tell the wise ones or parents looking for quality boots for their kids look elsewhere. We should have tried Oakiwear or Muck first (cheaper too!).
