I have a 2006 Jeep Commander that requires keys to be programmed on the car. When I called the dealer for a price they said it was about $400 for 2 fobs plus programming and trimming. Obviously I needed a different route as this is an extreme price. After purchasing the keys, I found that the local Ace hardware was doing the key programming. They even warned me that maybe it won't work because the keys don't come from them. I pressed and both cut and programmed flawlessly. Can't find any problem with this.
