This is exactly what I was looking for. I recently took the mattress cover off my bed to wash it and was horrified to find yellow urine stains on my mattress. Apparently my little boston terrier takes revenge when I'm not home and I don't even realize it. Very thin and waterproof, this mattress protector protects my mattress well from sweat, urine or spills. The upper is like terrycloth and the bottom is some sort of vinyl barrier. I tested this cover with water and the water collected on it very well even after washing. It has elastic sides to adapt to the greater depth of the mattress. I can keep this on my mattress and put a mattress pad directly on top. It doesn't feel like plastic and doesn't make a sound when you lie on it, and it breathes so I don't get hot. That's great, you're spending a fortune on your mattress, that's cheap insurance. I appreciated that they were offered in pairs, I needed two. These cases are highly recommended
