Very soft, stretchy and warm. I'm reconsidering this after a year of being worn mainly for steelhead fly fishing on some cold rivers here in Cleveland. It worked great. It is definitely more of a work flannel than a dress flannel. I'm 6'0" and 190 pounds. I wear a shirt with a 17" neckline and 33" sleeves. If this is your uniform, order Xlarge-Tall. The sleeves will shrink noticeably. Me didn't want to wash and dry a shirt like this in cold water. After many cycles of lukewarm washing and heating, the final measurements are as follows: sleeves 34" (from cuff to midline of neck), chest 48" (total circumference just below armpit), front length 28" (from top button to front ponytail). ). Back length 33" (top of collar to back of tail), wrist 10" (button circumference). The shirt is well made (made in China). Seams are straight and strong, with no missed stitches, over-stitches, or hanging stitches anywhere. Even after many washes, the color has not faded. The buttons didn't fall off. I love it so much I'm ordering another one in a different plaid pattern.
