So it delivers what it promises. I can hear ambient noise when wearing it. However, I would rate the sound quality as if the headphones had been pushed to the side. Bone conductors do not adhere to the skin and others can hear the sound. It was unexpected for me, but maybe I just didn't understand how it works. While this isn't an issue if you're using them for running or exercising outdoors, I can see that it annoys others when I've been indoors or listening to music with it at work. Of 4 earpads they give a set, the biggest but no sports hook, I got 2 for the same ear. The "bulge" when installed on this pair is facing the wrong way. However, only the sports hook shape is suitable for my ear shape. Once I figure out how to put them on my ear, they are very secure and don't fall out like my regular earbuds when I'm doing things like running or exercising.
