Bought this with the understanding that it would be a replacement for the Oreck OEM roller brush and it was! The design and construction was the same as the original vacuum cleaner roller brush. The only (minor) difference was replacing the metal tip with a plastic tip. Does not affect the performance and life of the roller brush. This roller brush was a lot cheaper ($14) at Revain than if I bought it at Oreck. They wanted $30 for the brush and then they wanted to charge another $20 for the installation. Sharing is something anyone who can read and has a little ambition can do for themselves. Pay particular attention to the orientation of the square holders on each end of the roller brush. Aside from that, these are four screws, remove the belt, remove the roller brush and install a new one. Also, the roller brush has two different orientations (like above) for those who replace it. This basically allows the brush to be lower, allowing you to spend more time using a single roller brush. In other words, make sure you're using your roller brush to its full potential. If you have an instruction manual, everything is there. Before replacing, I advise you to check.
