I have used this iron for many years - I had to replace it when I dropped mine a few years ago. Great experience with both (still using my second one which is about 5 years old now and still going strong). I recently bought one for my niece. When I took it out of the box it felt a little lighter to me (in weight) but we've used it twice already and the same great quality/ease of use - so no worries! I highly recommend this product.
