💇 Infrashine Original Medium Flat Iron, 1 inch, Black - Achieve Salon-worthy Hairstyles with Ease Review

I have used this iron for many years - I had to replace it when I dropped mine a few years ago. Great experience with both (still using my second one which is about 5 years old now and still going strong). I recently bought one for my niece. When I took it out of the box it felt a little lighter to me (in weight) but we've used it twice already and the same great quality/ease of use - so no worries! I highly recommend this product.

This was my second Infrashine hair straightener. I have had my first one for over 8 years and it has been fantastic and durable so I decided to go back with the same brand. However, Infrashine must have changed manufacturers because the quality of this hardware is poor and not worth the money. It takes 3-4 passes to straighten the same section of hair, it doesn't hold the hair in place and I had to buy a new flat iron.

Bought this iron and lasted 8 months. My first lasted a year. Now short circuit. It gets very hot and straightens the hair, but damages the hair terribly with the hook and heat. Both buttons on each side fell off. I wonder if it wasn't a real inflashine. I just went to GHD.com and bought one for double the price with a 2 year guarantee claims not to damage or snag hair. I wish I had paid more and saved my hair. Not worth saving.

Bad design, this so-called "original" doesn't look like a real Infrashine original at all! The handle lacks an evenly closed design, so the tips of the plates connect first, leaving the other end of the plate 1/8 inch to close the hair, creating uneven tension. The plates lack the "buoyancy" of true original iron design. My real original Infrashine iron is over 15 years old and still works, but the outer casing has cracked and is getting caught in my hair. There was an iron from this company that lasted 12 years, was replaced by another brand and it didn't even last 1 year. Came back to Infrashine and couldn't be happier! Just over a year old and in good condition! Takes up very little space, heats up very quickly and has a long power cord to make bathroom maneuvering a breeze.

I've been using it for quite some time (about 1 year). I bought it to replace my favorite Japanese iron. I had no problems with this product. If you read the care instructions, it says not to hang it by the string and put it in a horizontal position to cool. I do it. I just keep it on my vanity. My hairdresser recommended this straightener because it works great on my hair. I don't know if I got a defect or something similar. My barbers have been steaming my hair for a number of years. This only evaporated for a month and then stopped. It takes forever to fix my hair and it's not very good. Wouldn't buy again.
