I wish I had known about these filters years ago! I was aware of a filter next to the roller bar, but in the original Dyson instructions I never mentioned changing the filter just before the vacuum canister. Replacing these 2 filters made a significant difference in vacuum and performance. And the price was so good that there was no point in washing and cleaning the previous filters instead of replacing them. Previous filters were simply "worn out" and not just dirty and clogged. They've become almost useless. Instructions for replacing the 2nd filter next to the canister were vague. So I had to watch some video tutorials. But I have a new vacuum cleaner without having to buy it.
