Okay, manufacturing tolerances were bad. The bracket that holds the key shaft needed to be filed on the inside of the sides. You can compare both brackets and see what needs to be filed. The bracket should fit into the groove on the bottom of the case. It is inserted into the slot. If this is not the case, it must be submitted. So one of two good units and the other bad. It took me about 30 minutes to figure it out because it wouldn't snap into place and I was wondering if it needed to be forced. I'm glad I compared them and found a harmless way to do it. I would also say that the screw that came with it was a bit smaller than the original and a lot longer. So one of my wrenches has a screw head that sticks out instead of being tight. YMMV.
