These are a good pair but arrived broken. A small piece broke off so the part holding the battery didn't hold it. I was planning on sending it for another, but I found a silicone case that you can just slip a bunch of keys into. This makes every button work great and it protects against falls. The key ring above is part of it, so it fits us perfectly.

Batteries won't run out in the middle part that snaps into the case half with buttons. It took a lot of effort and a few tries, but I held the batteries with my finger and gently placed the battery holder against the button body and then squeezed very firmly until they finally snapped into place. It was incredibly difficult, but somehow I made it. The old case half with the Mustang logo is used.

Ford Explorer 2017. At first it was a lot harder to assemble than it should be. As mentioned, this seems to be an issue with the thickness of the battery, otherwise it works fine. But with built-in batteries. It requires very little force. Luckily I didn't break any part of my old Ford badge case and it fit the new case snugly and together it feels very sturdy and almost indistinguishable from my original FOB.

My 2016 Ford Edge key fob broke :( the plastic part that the key fob attaches to broke. This plastic case was just what I needed. I got took the guts (batteries and circuit board) off my old FOB and installed them in this spare shell and everything was fine. I only had one small issue with the batteries staying in place. They wanted to pop out a bit with this spare shell but pinky dexterity helped me put parts together, saved me $75 on FOB replacement!

I bought a Ford F350 key instead of a key that had the metal suspension ring broken off. I actually bought two. One of them broke the battery compartment components trying to install parts from the factory key, the other the same part of the factory key that broke also broke on that key. I absolutely cannot recommend this product! I would return them but was so overwhelmed that I believe the return dates have already passed. SAVE your money and just bite the bullet and get a factory key.

This is a relatively poor product. I didn't have a blank for the key which is clearly included in the kit. There is also no platform that supports the chip inside. You may be able to move it from your old FOB. It will match, but not very smooth. You have to be gentle and have a bit of luck to pull yourself together. To be honest this was an incredible replacement for the price. I had the original keychain so I "mixed and matched" them. The original back cover (Lincoln logo) and chrome key ring fit perfectly in the replacement key fob.
