Excellent lock ideal for access control keypads

I like this lock. This was perfect for our quest goal. The guide was very good. Even a template for the door was included. It will be necessary to cut an extra hole in the door, but the template makes it easy. The reason for the extra hole is because the lock keypad is on the front of the lock and the batteries are on the other side of the door. I really like that the battery is opened with an Allen key. This makes it much more secure than simply pushing to open or using a Phillips screwdriver. It has a feature called Pass Mode which is great for our quest room as it doesn't require you to enter a code all the time. In programmed access mode, the door will remain unlocked until you press the # button a second time after entering the code. It might not be something you wouldn't typically want to include, but it works great for our Quest guests. My only complaint is that the remote that came with the unit uses an odd battery and not the typical CR2032. It's like a short double A. Unfortunately, the type of battery required is neither specified in the instructions nor on the housing of the remote control, or I overlooked it. It doesn't matter for our use, but may be useful for personal purposes. The code can be up to 10 digits long, which is great. Also, you can enter random numbers before and/or after the code so no one can see the exact code you are using. I believe up to 20 characters are allowed for this function including the actual code. So you can use 5 random digits before and 5 more digits after along with a 10 digit code if you want to confuse someone who might be watching you entering the code. Another feature worth noting is that you can turn the knobs with an Allen key. You can easily mount the door handle to the right or left of the door. Simply remove the handles and rotate 180 degrees on each side to stick them out of the door frame. The downside is that the key is NOT a standard key and no copies can be made. I believe another reviewer commented on this. This is a semi-circular key that is inserted on the side of the cylinder and as such cannot be reproduced by your typical key cutter/locksmith. sides and keyways on the second side. I've also included a photo of the battery compartment for the remote control so you can know what type of battery is required.
