We tried 6 different brands and sizes and this was the clear winner. Most toddlers don't wear hats and the main reasons for this are the flexible brim and poor fit. These coolibar fields are the best because they are designed like a baseball cap and keep their shape, so they don't obstruct your view. The back flap covers the neck and extends beyond the brim for excellent face coverage/shading. The size adjuster is in an unusual place under the flap, but it works because it doesn't catch on anything as the child runs. This is a great hat for kids with big heads.
