One of my favorite pens

This brush delivers a lot of ink. I got it for drawing as an alternative to the steel nibs (fountain pens and dip pens) I use. The quality is excellent, you can achieve very thin and very thick lines and much more organic lines than with steel tips, fine liners or even felt pens. The downside is that the pen brush is also a lot harder to control; Getting thin, even lines is harder than with steel nibs, and my insecurities with working with a brush still show in my work. The ink that comes with it is good, but I won't buy it again when it's gone. . I bought the Luxury Brands Platinum Fountain Pen Converter (PLAT500) and now use bottled ink. My current favorite is Noodler's Lexington Gray which adds an extra dimension to using this brush. I also recently purchased a Pentel Arts Pocket Brush Pen which comes with 2 black ink refills (GFKP3BPA). Of the two pens, the Kuretake is the better pen, with the best brush and the ability to use a converter, but Pentel's pocket brush is about 50% shorter, effectively making it pocket-sized. However, I use it much more often than the Pentel Pocket Brush.
