Received this taillight quickly and found it easy to mount to the seat rails with the bracket provided. I like this position because I can turn it on while riding if needed and it's higher which makes it more visible to drivers. When I first turned it on, I made the mistake of looking it straight into my hands. OH! So bright! I was blinded and then saw a glitter ghost for ten minutes! It's actually dangerously bright, so DO NOT look at it directly! Unbelievable! Battery life promises to be great and still works after a couple of hours at the default default brightness. The automatic brake light also seems to work well. Very sensitive to braking forces. Very clean and beautiful design, well-sealed switch and connector, the only downside is the light design of the light itself. The twist-to-lock function is very simple, shockproof enough, easy to remove. BUT: very easy to steal. That's the thing here in Santa Barbara! I had to file two small notches in the back of the mounting base and a stainless steel safety wire loop (I use this thing for EVERYTHING!) to attach the light and bracket to prevent it from twisting when removed. Still easy to charge. I also added two tight turns of wire to the mounting hooks on the seat rail to keep them from coming loose without a good pair of wire cutters. See image of backlit safety wire. See the little notches I made to secure the wrapped wire? You can't remove it until it's cut. The video shows brightness and lateral visibility. Excellent! All in all an EXCELLENT rear light! You will NOT be allowed through under the most distracting conditions. Love it!
