Yes, this is a really good tripod. Very durable. I don't understand why people complain about the weight. With a small fluid head mounted in the included tripod bag, the total weight is 7.5 pounds. I just received my tripod and it had a nylon pouch inside. Many reviews have claimed that the bag is only big enough to fill a tripod and nothing else. It is not true. The height is also higher than expected. With the center stick fully extended, my Canon G40 camcorder's eye level is about 6 feet! That's right. I'm 6'5" tall and taller than my head. This is great for select sporting events when your tripod is behind others. Since mine is almost 2ft taller than most tripods, the setup doesn't get in the way behind other tripods. My only one Complaint is there is no pocket hoof at the bottom of the B-pillar to hang your camera bag.This is because the center post can be removed, split in two and reinserted upside down for very low camera angles.I still wish , he would have a catch I can shape it.
