Serves its purpose, fits perfectly, works great. NOT quiet, but not very loud either, but you will definitely hear the water flowing through the fill valve, I mean it's just the physics of the water flowing through the device. It can't be completely quiet if you don't want the bowl to fill up forever! Be realistic about your expectations for quiet water fill valves. The fact is that it works, does not flow, is very easy to install and configure. In fact, only two adjustments need to be made. The obvious one is the screw that moves the float up or down. Raise the float, shorten the length of the screw if you want to raise the water level (the valve will shut off at a higher water level). Move the float down, lengthen the screw if you want to lower the water level (the valve shuts off at a lower water level). The other adjustment is a tiny, color-coded plastic part that you install before you make the bowl-fill extension tube connection. Different colors indicate flow rates, higher flow rates fill the bowl with more water with each flush, lower flow rates do the opposite. Don't bother adjusting until you have water levels and especially flush valve settings for a perfect flush. Then you only have to check whether the pool is filling with enough water and, if necessary, adjust the flow rate by installing another plastic element. It's better to overfill than underfill, make sure you have a full bowl of water.
