Like other reviewers I am impressed with the fact that the HDMI cable has a protective braid and gold plated connectors. However, I'm surprised that the USB cable is of the same quality, simply because the USB cable that comes with the PS3 isn't one, just a plain humble USB cable (I thought it was the other way around) . ). I bought the Sony brand because it's always OCD to me to always buy original (or officially licensed) accessories and hardware for my gaming consoles. Ultimately, though, I doubt this HDMI cable will perform any better than a $7 cable. So if you're a bargain hunter, I see no reason not to go down that route. If you insist but have time to kill, I recommend waiting until the price drops at least $10 as $40 is really a lot. Overall: Quality: A + Price: C
