Review on 🧹 Metal-Free Rim and Wheel Brush for Optimal Wheel Cleaning - Viking Premium, Red/Black, 2.5" x 14.3 by John Roberts

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not bad for the price, but not very well thought out

Well I've just finished my first use. My wheels have a lot of tight slots and this helped eliminate them. There's a bit of a learning curve as this is a tapered foam brush, so you'll need to paint hard-to-reach areas a specific way. I figured it out after about 5 holes and the rest of the wheels was ready in about 5-7 minutes (there are about 20 holes in each wheel so it takes me longer than a normal wheel so I bought that first.) Seems so to be Good quality and the handle is of good quality. That's why I only left 3 stars, because if there are jagged edges in the metal of your bike at the back of the rim, the fabric cover will catch on them and pull on the thread. Did this twice on my first wash so I guess I only have about 5 washes of this item left. Maybe I can be careful and get more, but it's already kind of a mess because the now loose threads will inevitably get caught on something else in the wheel. Now for $8 with shipping I don't expect miracles. I watched a video of Chemists' Concourse brush before I bought this one and decided I didn't want to spend $24 on a brush, but in this case, like almost always, you buy cheap, you get cheap.

Pros
  • Soft foam core with microfiber cover and plastic handle for a flexible, durable, scratch-resistant tire brush
Cons
  • Useless features
