I needed a new screen because my kids apparently thought my Chromebook was a trampoline for a second. It seemed like a good decision. I didn't have to replace the screen, I could still use what was left of the Chromebook screen and actually see things! Unfortunately this doesn't work for Chromebooks (Mac and Windows only) and it was heavier than my Chromebook so it still fell over. The alternative would be to just stick it on a broken Chromebook screen, but it would be too bulky even if it worked (I know, first world problems, but I currently have a $75 phone with a glossy screen bought it, so it doesn't work ). looks like the side window should cost a lot more). I connected it to my windows laptop, downloaded the driver and turned it on as a dual monitor. It worked fine, although I'm not sure if it was the old USB port (my laptop didn't have a Type-C), but it turned out that the video I tested had a lower frame rate. The brightness and colors are absolutely amazing so it's great. It would be nice to be able to house the monitor separately so it doesn't have to be attached to the laptop. This would allow for much greater versatility.
