I thought it was a good quality bike as it was expensive and other reviews were good but I'm disappointed. First, the price is now $20 less than 2 months ago. ($165 then, $145 now). So I feel cheated. I was willing to pay upwards of $80-$100 for 18-inch wheels from Walmart because I needed a quality bike that would last a while. Unfortunately this is not what I have. The brakes are not very good. My son will hit the brakes very hard and even then they don't brake well/quickly enough. Especially when going downhill or driving fast. We live in an area that has a lot of hilly bike paths. It is dangerous for him to go downhill with bad brakes! Now I have to figure out how to change them or buy new ones. The bike is smaller than I expected. As long as the wheels are 18", the bike's frame length and width isn't much larger than the bike it just outgrew. Meaning it will outgrow this bike sooner than I was hoping. Probably just a year later. Since the brakes aren't good and we have to replace this sooner, I should have gone with the cheaper Walmart bike.
