I can't sleep at night if the room (and especially my pillow) isn't cool (my wife would say cold). I overheat quickly and easily. 70 degrees are hardly bearable for me. 67 degrees is my favorite temperature. In winter I sleep with the window open. I preface my review with this information so you'll understand that it's from a person who desires more cooling than usual. I've tried several of these personal refrigerators on the nightstand next to my bed. I always run them on the highest settings. None of them are very good cool. Some of them don't cool down at all. This particular part was a little more expensive than the others, but it was the best I've had as I can feel the faint puffs of cool air escaping at top speed when I put my hand on the vent. In the first 6 inches per foot, it provides cool air for a while. It's better than others I've tried. It will in no way cool the entire room, and in my opinion it won't even cool a small enclosed space. but it may drop a degree, or maybe half a degree, the first 6 inches to a foot before the vent. Thirsting for coolness, I accept any help I can get. It's quite noisy at top speed, but it's not. Don't bother me, I already have three fans.
