I moved into a house with 4 oil stains in the yard. I didn't know what type of oil it was and I didn't know how long it had been there, but when I got to the issue a year and a half had passed. were at least 2 years old but I think they were older. One spot was large (4 feet round), two were medium, and one was small-medium. They were unsightly and every time I looked at them I winced. Before trying any of the products, I washed the patio with two different washing machines. I then tried two different degreasers, one of which was specifically designed to remove oil stains. I've tried a few other cheaper options, also hoping not to spend a lot of money, but none of them perform as well as this product. Looking back, starting with a product like this would have saved me a lot of time and money. I like the ease of use, just apply. You don't have to keep it wet for it to work. It immediately looked better just because the powder was the color of concrete. I left it on for a couple of weeks and then washed it off and there was a noticeable improvement. Just to make sure it gets better I hosed it down after sweeping it and letting it dry. The little stain is completely gone. The average spots were about half the size and much lighter. The large spot is slightly lighter but still there. I just sprinkled more powder on top (I still use the same container). If the powder lightens them up even more or eliminates them completely I'll update my rating to 5 stars but whatever happens I'm MUCH happier. I would even buy some of this powder (if there was a cheaper version) to sprinkle on the patio to aesthetically hide stains. Anyway, I'm grateful for this find. Update: I washed the patio again and the stains are back. just as dark as before. I don't know if this product just coated it or if it removed the surface oil and started sucking stuff up from underneath. I'm not entirely sure if this product did anything other than cover spots. It still looks way better than before (when powder is applied) and the container lasts a long time, but I'm not sure it's worth the $40+ price tag. I would give 5 stars if the product was half the price but at the current price and for what it does I am changing my rating to 3.5 stars.
