Excellent ink. I thought it was plain black but it has a faint golden sheen to it. I like it. So I bought this calligraphy pen but would rather invest in a flexible nib. However, I do like that I can adjust the line width based on the angle I'm writing at, I'm just a little sad that I can't get that option without a bit of fiddling. It's almost impossible to write and tilt the pen at the same time. I'm still glad I have a pen!
